SWHA has received $189,000 from ARRA to improve Hillsview, which is a 60-unit public housing complex that’s home to seniors and individuals with disabilities. Below, you can learn additional details about the project.
Scope of Work: The project will install handrails and energy-efficient lighting, improve the elevator and hallways, remodel the community room and kitchen, and replace existing floors with plywood and carpeting. The floor has long been in need of repair due to fractured and uneven concrete slabs.

Major construction work is completed at Hillsview.
October 2009
Construction work is underway on the Hillsview renovation. The general contractor, Old World Construction, expects the project to be finished in December 2009.
In addition to the general contractor, the following companies are involved with the project: ORB Architects, BCE Engineering, Standard Wire Company, and Emerald Aire, Inc.
September 2009
The Hillsview renovation contract has been awarded to Old World Construction.
